Sound Story Experience
Me and my friend, Luis, partnered up to make this sound story. This story is about an anxious musician who must overcome his fear and perform in front of thousands. Recording went pretty smoothly, as we didn't need to redo any recordings. Surprisingly, the guitar playing was only one take. Our main issue was with editing. The sound mixing was a challenge as the guitar was too loud at times and the ambient sounds were too loud at others. We used YouTube and iPhone screen recording to gather the ambient sounds for the rain and the cheering of the crowd. We then used iMovie to mix everything together and to make sure the audio levels were correct. My personal favorite part was this editing, as iMovie makes it very simple and pleasant. This entire sound story was done with only an iPhone, which goes to show how good pieces of media can be made with little to no supplies or resources at all.
