Division of Work
Hey, and welcome back to my blog! Thank you all for tuning in, and I hope you're having a great day. Today, I'll be speaking about how me and my groupmate, Luis, split our project up into different sections in order to get our work done more efficiently.
First, I'll start off talking about the acting. Now as you know, our short film only had one character. Naturally, Luis was the actor for him as he's a basketball player who fits the look of one much better than I would for example. That's not to say Luis didn't help with the editing process, though, as there were some moments I had no idea what to press or do to get my desired result. He also helped with the creative process, giving his own ideas for shots and helping me pick a transition when I wasn't sure which one would look best.
Of course, my responsibility was more about the stuff off camera. Namely, filming and editing, as well as about half of coming up with the story. Thankfully, I'm naturally pretty good at filming. I had a good idea of where to position the camera in relation with Luis to get the desired shot. I also think I'm great with technology, so that made it much easier to work editing software. I got to know the software CapCut inside and out as I began to work on piecing clips together in a way that flowed.
