Inspiration post
Hey, and welcome back to my blog! Thank you all for tuning in, and I hope you're having a great day. Today, I'll be speaking about pieces of media that inspired me throughout this project. There were countless, some involving sports and some not. However, today I'll just give you two.
First and foremost is the Rocky franchise, including the Creed trilogy. Rocky is a classic movie, that practically invented the training montage. Without Rocky ever releasing, its likely our short film's training sequence would have never existed. The Creed trilogy with Michael B. Jordan is a more modern take on the Rocky movies from the 70's and 80's. As young people, we can relate to that trilogy far more as it takes place in our current world, so its easy to say those movies were among my biggest inspirations.Another boxing movie that inspired me was Raging Bull by Martin Scorsese featuring Robert DeNiro. Although the movie didn't relate to mine much plot-wise, it was inspiring when looking at the shots and camera angles. It has a very different and unique approach to film, with a black and white color scheme throughout. Although our film didn't end up much like it, it inspired me to be creative and to use unique shots and angles.
